Shipping Requirements
Label all samples. Ship overnight or 2 day in a insulated container with ice packs. EDTA tube and remove serum from red cells and place sample in an additive free transport tube.
Specimen Requirements
1 ml EDTA whole blood and 1 ml serum. Both samples required from donor and recipient. Or segment from donor only.
Collection Protocol
Avoid hemolysis.
Detection of hemagglutinating and hemolyzing antibodies in serum via microscopic and macroscopic evaluation, respectively. Test available as STAT with additional Fee.
