Fixed tissues
Tissues submitted for biopsy will have histologic slides generated for pathologist interpretation and report.Biopsy fee is charged per site. Multiple skin/GI punches may be considered one site if they are not identified by individual locations. Multiple masses removed en bloc may be considered one site. Individual discreet masses will count as multiple sites even if they are removed from the same general body area.Potential additional fees:
- Complex Trim (at pathologist discretion)
- Tissue Collection (sample arrives unfixed)
- Decalcification (sample is mineralized/boney)
- Margin ≤ 5 cm
- Margin > 5 cm
