Shipping Requirements
Label all samples. Ship overnight with cold packs in an insulated container. Ship Monday-Thursday only. Submit specimens in sealed leak-proof containers. Do not submit specimens in gloves.

2-5 g fresh feces or intestinal contents
Collection Protocol
Collect specimens aseptically into individual sterile, leak proof containers and label with permanent marker. Fresh samples provide the most accurate results. Do not submit feces in gloves.
Detection of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV), swine deltacoronavirus (SDCV), transmissible gastroenteritis coronavirus (TGEV), porcine rotavirus-A (PRV-A), Lawsonia intracellularis, and Salmonella sp. by real time PCR. Test is available as STAT if requested, for an additional fee. Same day results provided for STAT specimens submitted before 10:00 a.m. Results for STAT specimens submitted after 10:00 a.m. receive priority status and are reported as soon as they are available, at least by the following business day.
