One or more of the following: 2-3 g feces, 1 mL intestinal content, 1-2 g fresh intestine.
Collection Protocol
Fresh samples provide the most accurate results. Do not submit feces in gloves.
Detection of Salmonella spp. by real time PCR; discrimination of species / serotypes not included. Salmonella PCR testing requires overnight incubation in broth media prior to testing
