Turn around times are dependent upon whether ancillary testing is needed, 1-2 weeks are standard.
Shipping Requirements
Ship overnight in an insulated container with ice packs. Remains may also be delivered to the OVDL between 8 am-5 pm, Monday through Friday. Afterhours drop-offs must be arranged with a Pathologist and incur a $250 surcharge.
Specimen Requirements
Fresh whole body. Please keep refrigerated. Freezing should be avoided but may be acceptable to prevent excess autolysis. Freezing may render samples unsuitable for certain testing, including microscopic examination.
