Detection of avian influenza virus (IAV-A) matrix (includes H5 and H7 subtyping for IAV-A matrix positive specimens), avian paramyxovirus type-1 (APMV-1) (includes virulent Newcastle Disease virus detection for APMV-1 matrix positive specimens), Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae. Detection of avian paramyxovirus type-1 (APMV-1) matrix by real time PCR. Matrix positive specimens are subsequently screened for virulent Newcastle disease virus (vNDV) by real time PCR. Test is available as STAT if requested, for an additional fee. Same day results provided for STAT specimens submitted before 10:00 a.m. Results for STAT specimens submitted after 10:00 a.m. receive priority status and are reported as soon as they are available, at least by the following business day. Test also available as part of the Avian Respiratory PCR Panel.

Detection of Avian influenza A virus matrix by real time PCR. If influenza is detected, specimens are screened for the H5 & H7 subtypes by real time PCR. Culture for pathogenic aerobic bacteria, and acid-fast staining in aquatic species. Indicate if individual samples are to be pooled for culture, otherwise samples will be cultured and charged individually. Panel Includes: Aerobic Culture, Bacterial Acid Fast Stain

Determination of the antimicrobial susceptibilities to a variety of anitmicrobials of a single aerobic bacterial isolate, minimum inhibitory concentrations provided if available. Culture must be performed first. Requires concurrent Aerobic Culture
