Admission requirements
- An OSU GPA of at least 3.25.
- Completion of 105 credits.
- Junior status in an undergraduate degree program in Biological Data Sciences. (Post-baccalaureate students are ineligible.)
- Other documents and requirements required by Graduate Admissions: A completed online application on the Office of Graduate Education website, three letters of reference, a statement of objectives, and a tentative plan of study.

Admission process
- The deadline for full consideration is May 15 for admission into the Accelerated Master's Platform in the Fall term.
- Follow the application instructions via the Office of Graduate Education website.
- Admission is competitive, not all of the applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be accepted.
- Decision by June 15 for applications received before May 15.
Timeline
Junior year (the year you apply to AMP)
Complete required courses and apply.
- You must complete all admission requirements at the time of application.
- You must develop a tentative program of study which should be approved by the undergraduate AMP advisor in your major and the graduate AMP advisor in Comparative Health Sciences.
- Apply to AMP by May 15, with the decision by June 15.
Senior year (first year in AMP)
Earn graduate credits (up to twenty two credits can be transferred to your master's program), and complete your B.S. degree.
- Complete up to 22 credits of graduate level Comparative Health Sciences courses from the list in the AMP Credit Map.
- By the end of the first week of fall, develop a course plan and obtain approval of the undergraduate AMP Advisor and the graduate AMP advisor in Comparative Health Sciences.
- You must earn a grade of at least B in each course of the 22 credits applied to both the baccalaureate and graduate degree programs.
- At the beginning of the final term as an undergraduate, you’ll submit a graduate application via the graduate admissions application website.
Year one of graduate program (second year in AMP)
- Transfer up to 22 credits hours toward the M.S. degree, take graduate courses as required.
- Select and meet with your graduate committee and finalize Program of Study. Submit a signed Program of Study to the Office of Graduate Education.
- Conduct research project.
- Complete and defend thesis or capstone (if non-thesis) in spring term. See Office of Graduate Education for M.S. degree deadlines and instructions.
