Connecting Humans, Animals and the Environment

Learn how future medical doctors, veterinarians and ecologists all provide important knowledge to solving the pressing health dilemmas of today, such as infectious disease outbreaks and climate change. This program will foster communication and collaboration between traditionally separate fields through classwork internships and research opportunities.  

The certificate is open to undergraduate students from any major and is offered at the Oregon State University Corvallis campus. 

Course Requirements

The certificate consists of 27 credits with three required core courses equaling nine credits and 18 credits of electives with a minimum of one course from each of the following categories: Environmental Health, Human Health and Animal Health.

To enroll in the One Health Certificate:

  1. Evaluate the list of requirements (see button above).
  2. Speak with your advisor, and ask them to enroll you in the certificate.
  3. Email Dr. Brianna Beechler, assistant professor of One Health and certificate administrator, to join the certificate Canvas site.
