Tick PCR Panel - Ixodes (B. burgdorfi, B. miyamotoi, A. phagocytophilum)

Detection of Anaplasma phagocytophilum, Borrelia burgdorferi and Borrelia miyamotoi by real time PCR Performed for surveillance and results are reported to Dr. Emilio DeBess with the Oregon Health Authority. Please contact the OVDL for more information. Test is available as STAT if requested, for an additional fee. Same day results provided for STAT specimens submitted before 10:00 a.m. Results for STAT specimens submitted after 10:00 a.m. receive priority status and are reported as soon as they are available, at least by the following business day.

Thromboelastography (TEG) Report

Thromboelastography (TEG) is a viscoelastic hemostatic assay that measures the global viscoelastic properties of whole blood clot formation under low shear stress. TEG shows the interaction of platelets with the coagulation cascade (aggregation, clot stress) Test available as STAT with additional Fee.

Swine Influenza Virus Matrix (IAV-S, NAHLN)

Detection of the swine influenza virus matrix gene by real time PCR. All specimens testing positive for the IAV-S Matrix gene will be further tested to determine subtype. Test also available as part of the Porcine Respiratory PCR Panel.

Swine Delta Coronavirus PCR (SDCoV)

Detection of swine deltacoronavirus (SDCoV) by real time PCR. Test is available as STAT if requested, for an additional fee. Same day results provided for STAT specimens submitted before 10:00 a.m. Results for STAT specimens submitted after 10:00 a.m. receive priority status and are reported as soon as they are available, at least by the following business day. Test also available as part of the Porcine Diarrhea PCR Panel.

Streptococcus equi subsp. equi PCR (Strangles)

Detection of Streptococcus equi ssp. equi, the causative agent of Strangles, by real time PCR. Test is available as STAT if requested, for an additional fee. Same day results provided for STAT specimens submitted before 10:00 a.m. Results for STAT specimens submitted after 10:00 a.m. receive priority status and are reported as soon as they are available, at least by the following business day. Test also available as part of the Equine Respiratory PCR Panel.

Streptococcus equi ssp. equi (Strangles)- Rule Out Only

Culture and identification to rule-out prescence of Streptococcus equi ssp equi, causitive agent of strangles Other pathogens recovered will not be reported. If organisms other than S. equi ssp equi are of interest, or if sensitivity is desired order Aerobic culture. Will be reported as Recovered for a positive culture, or Not Recovered for a negative culture.

Standard Bulk Tank Culture

Culture, identification, and enumeration (CFU/ml) of select bacteria (S. aureus, coagulase negative Staph, Streptococcus sp, coliforms, and miscellaneous environmentals) found in milk to assess bacterial load of stored milk. Not for the purposes of diagnosing mastitis. This test is for milk holding tanks, not for individual animals or to diagnose mastitis This test is for milk holding tanks, not for individual animals or to diagnose mastitis
