Detection of antibodies to Neorickettsia risticii (formerly Ehrlichia risticii), the causative agent of Potomac horse fever, by indirect fluorescent antibody test. Test performed at 1:20, 1:40, 1:80, 1:160, 1:320, and 1:640 dilutions. Results available same day for samples received in the lab by 11:30 am. Results can be available same day with the addition of a STAT Fee for samples received in the lab after 11:30 and by 1:00 pm. Otherwise the samples will be held until the next scheduled testing day.

Detection of Mycoplasma spp. by PCR; species discrimination is not included. Test will not detect hemotropic mycoplasmas. Test is available as STAT if requested, for an additional fee. Same day results provided for STAT specimens submitted before 10:00 a.m. Results for STAT specimens submitted after 10:00 a.m. receive priority status and are reported as soon as they are available, at least by the following business day. Test also available as part of the Camelid, Porcine and Small Ruminant Respiratory PCR Panels.

Detection of Mycoplasma haemolamae by real time PCR. Test is available as STAT if requested, for an additional fee. Same day results provided for STAT specimens submitted before 10:00 a.m. Results for STAT specimens submitted after 10:00 a.m. receive priority status and are reported as soon as they are available, at least by the following business day.

Detection of Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae by multiplex real time PCR. Test is available as STAT if requested, for an additional fee. Same day results provided for STAT specimens submitted before 10:00 a.m. Results for STAT specimens submitted after 10:00 a.m. receive priority status and are reported as soon as they are available, at least by the following business day. Test also available as part of the Avian Respiratory PCR Panel.

Detection of Mycoplasma bovis by real time PCR. Test is available as STAT if requested, for an additional fee. Same day results provided for STAT specimens submitted before 10:00 a.m. Results for STAT specimens submitted after 10:00 a.m. receive priority status and are reported as soon as they are available, at least by the following business day.
