I did my undergraduate studies at Oklahoma State University in Biology and veterinary school at Louisiana State University, where I graduated in 2021. Following graduation, I completed a small animal rotating internship at Virginia Tech, followed by a specialty internship with the Virginia Tech oncology service. I remained at VT for my clinical pathology residency and master's degree, both of which I completed in the summer of 2026. I joined Oregon State University as a clinical pathologist in late summer of 2026.

Anna Jolles, professor of epidemiology at the Oregon State University Gary R. Carlson, MD, College of Veterinary Medicine, grew up mostly in Germany. But at the age of 15, her dad, a university academic, took a new job at a university in South Africa.
