Biography

Publications

Dr. Ingrid Balsa received her B.S. and MEd from the University of Arizona. She was a public-school teacher for several years prior to becoming a veterinarian. She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and after obtaining her DVM she completed a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at North Carolina State University and her residency in Small Animal Surgery at the University of California-Davis. Since obtaining diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Surgery in 2017, she worked as a clinical faculty member at the University of California, Davis and is currently an associate professor of soft tissue surgery at Oregon State University. Her research interests include minimally invasive surgery and surgical education.
