Funding opportunities to support the Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine's research mission are available from both internal and external sources. Additionally, the college offers intramural research programs.
CCVM Research Programs for 2025-2026
All faculty are invited to apply to the CCVM Research Programs. For 2025-2026, three programs will be offered:
Basic Research Grant: Deadline is 3/1/2025
Clinical Research Grant: Deadline is 3/1/2025
Teaching Research Grant: Deadline is 3/1/2025
Funding
Basic Research Grant: Up to $10,000
Clinical Research Grant: Up to $10,000
Teaching Research Grant: Up to $6,000

Review Process
In the first step, applications are reviewed by the Research Committee who will provide recommendations for funding. Then, the applications and recommendations are reviewed by the Department Heads. The final decision is made by the Dean of the College.
Writing the Proposal
Instructions on how to write the proposal are provided below. Multidisciplinary applications with the POTENTIAL FOR FUTURE FUNDING will receive special consideration.
