Coccidioides (Valley Fever, AGID) IgG Agar Gel Immunodiffusion Screen

Detection of Coccidioides IgG serum antibodies against the F antigen by agar gel immunodiffusion. The presence of IgG antibodies directed against the F antigen indicate active or recent past (up to 1 year) infection. The IgG antibody AGID test is usually positive within four weeks after infection and remains positive throughout clinically active disease. Samples must be received in the lab by 5 pm the day prior to testing, otherwise samples will be held until next scheduled testing day. Please call us at 541-737-2172 if testing a large number of animals.

Coagulation Screen

Measurement of PT, PTT and platelets by automated analyzer. Test available as STAT with additional Fee. Panel Includes: Partial Thromboplastin Time (PTT), Platelet Count, Prothrombin Time (PT)

Clostridium perfringens Typing PCR

PCR genotyping of Clostridium perfringens isolates (A, B, C, D, or E) by identifying toxin genes (alpha, cpa; beta, cpb, epsilon, etx; iota, ia) as well as genes for beta 2 toxin (cpb2) and enterotoxin (cpe). NOTE: Toxin gene results are reported. Refer to footnote on results to determine toxinotypes (A, B, C, D, or E).

Clostridium perfringens Enterotoxin (C perf) ELISA

Detection of Clostridium perfringens enterotoxins by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Results available same day for samples received in the lab by 11:30 am. Results can be available same day with the addition of a STAT Fee for samples received in the lab after 11:30 and by 1:00 pm. Otherwise the specimens will be held until the next scheduled testing day.

Clostridium difficile Toxin A & B (C diff) ELISA

Detection of Clostridium difficile toxins A and B by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Results available same day for samples received in the lab by 11:30 am. Results can be available same day with the addition of a STAT Fee for samples received in the lab after 11:30 and by 1:00 pm. Otherwise the specimens will be held until the next scheduled testing day.
