Dr. Kamm's clinical focus is large animal orthopedic and respiratory surgery including the treatment of bone and joint injuries, arthroscopy, and laryngoplasty (tie-back procedure). Dr Kamm performs fracture fixation for horses and small ruminants. She has performed orthopedic and respiratory surgery on thousands of racing thoroughbreds as well as warmblood performance horses. 

Dr. Kamm's research interest is in repair of joint and soft tissue injuries through the use of mesenchymal stromal cells and other regenerative therapies. Her main focus is the understanding of immune reactions which occur when donor mesenchymal stromal cells are administered to a recipient.

Biography

Dr. Kamm is a large animal surgery specialist from rural Ohio. She went to vet school and completed her surgery residency at Colorado State University. She completed her internships at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Kentucky and Cornell University. She then worked in private practice for 10 years in New Zealand working on racehorses, polo ponies, and high-level sport horses. She completed a PhD from Massey University on regenerative medicine. Her surgical specialty is large animal orthopedic and respiratory surgery including the treatment of bone and joint injuries, arthroscopy, and laryngoplasty (tie-back procedure). Dr Kamm performs fracture fixation for horses and small ruminants. She has performed orthopedic and respiratory surgery on thousands of racing thoroughbreds as well as warmblood performance horses. She performs both standing and general anesthetic fracture repairs, tie-backs, and laser surgeries. 

Dr. Kamm's research interest is in repair of joint and soft tissue injuries through the use of mesenchymal stromal cells and other regenerative therapies. Her main focus is the understanding of immune reactions which occur when donor mesenchymal stromal cells are administered to a recipient.    

Dr. Kamm is supported by an amazing husband and two unstoppable children.
