Mia came into my life way back when as just a tiny little peanut of a pup. She was born with a heart murmur not uncommon among chihuahuas. She was a very tough little girl having brushed off a couple close calls early in life. Once she spotted a cat and jumped out of a moving car, another time she attacked a large (friendly thank god) Pitbull, another time somehow she got ahold of and chewed up a phentenol patch. Through it all she survived without a scratch. Mia lived a long and pampered life. It was not uncommon for me to be scolded for treating her like a princess, guilty! She was my constant companion throughout the good and bad of life. Everything about her brightened my day. She lived 18+ years, and it broke my heart to say goodbye.
