Joey Bear came into our lives in July 2017 as a foster from a local rescue at the age of 6 years. He was our first foster “failure,” as we decided he was meant for us. Joey Bear would walk into a room and light it up. He was a goofy boy who loved his food, a good snuggle, and a nap with his sister pei. We were honored to be Joey’s guardians for 6 years and 3 months. Sadly, he suffered from canine cognitive disease the last few months of his 12.25 years on earth. He is greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
