We adopted Arthur from PAWS animal shelter in West Linn OR in 2013 when he was around 5 months old. Arthur was the quiet observer at the shelter where most of the cats were able to roam freely in the rooms. We noticed his calm demeanor and luxurious gray fur immediately. We adopted him along with another cat whom we named Lancelot. Initially Arthur did not liked to be pet or held for very long. He would nip and claw at us if we paid him too much attention. Gradually he became friendlier and sought out company. Over time, he started to run for the door when friends arrived and was eager to be the center of attention. When our kids’ friends would come over, he would sit close to them, happy to be part of the group. He had many cute habits including burrowing under blankets to nap, meowing in response to questions, and batting his favorite sting ray toy when it was tossed to him. He passed away at age 10 and we miss him so much.
