Trixie Dean, named in honor of author Dean Koontz’ Golden Retriever, was born just south of Seattle on October 29, 2011. Living in Washington state afforded her many adventures, including hiking in the Cascade Mountains with her Dad. Only once did she refused to complete the dissent, demanding that Dad carry her the rest of the way down the mountain. She discovered her love of swimming and ball retrieving in Marymour Park in Redmond, WA.
When we relocated to the Portland area, she continued to enjoy long hikes in Forest Park. She loved nothing more than chasing balls into the Pacific Ocean on the Oregon coast. She was the epitome of what a Golden Retriever is known for.
Trixie passed peacefully over the rainbow bridge on February 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving parents, and her poodle companion Sadie.
Trixie was loved beyond measure, and will be greatly missed.
