Biography

My name is Dianne Quiroz-Predtechenska. I am currently a third year and am interested in studying and helping to manage zoonotic and infectious diseases at a community scale. In
terms of what this means for the type of career I want to pursue…I am still not sure… but I am looking into government and regulatory veterinary medicine as a possible career path. I am
deeply committed to equitable access in veterinary medicine (i.e. I believe the veterinary field should be more diverse and that cost of veterinary care should not be a barrier to access) and
have interests in community medicine and shelter medicine. When not studying you can find me planning events for the various clubs I am involved with, doing some sort of creative craft, or
taking a dance class at the local Cuban salsa studio. I am a nontraditional student as I took a lot of time off between starting vet school and undergrad and am also married. Feel free to reach
out to me if you have questions about diversity related issues at the school or about school/life balance.
