West Nile Virus Camelid (WNV Camelid) IgM Antibody ELISA

Detection of IgM antibodies to West Nile virus in camelid serum by IgM-capture enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Samples must be received in the lab by 5 pm the day prior to testing, otherwise samples will be held until next scheduled testing day. With the addition of a STAT Fee, alternate testing times are possible to expedite turnaround times. Please call us at 541-737-2172 if testing a large number of animals. While advance notice is preferable, it is not required.

Camelid Quantitative IgG (RID) Radial Immunodiffusion

Detection of IgG levels by quantitative radial immunodiffusion. Samples must be received in the lab by 5 pm the day prior to testing, otherwise samples will be held until the next scheduled testing day.

Mycoplasma haemolamae PCR

Detection of Mycoplasma haemolamae by real time PCR. Test is available as STAT if requested, for an additional fee. Same day results provided for STAT specimens submitted before 10:00 a.m. Results for STAT specimens submitted after 10:00 a.m. receive priority status and are reported as soon as they are available, at least by the following business day.

Camelid Respiratory PCR Panel

Detection of bovine coronavirus (BCoV), bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV), bovine respiratory syncitial virus (BRSV), bovine herpesvirus-1 (BHV-1 / IBR) by real time PCR and Mycoplasma spp. (genus level detection) by endpoint PCR. Test is available as STAT if requested, for an additional fee. Same day results provided for STAT specimens submitted before 10:00 a.m. Results for STAT specimens submitted after 10:00 a.m. receive priority status and are reported as soon as they are available, at least by the following business day.

Abortion Screen - Camelid

Routinely performed set of tests to detect infectious agents that cause abortions. Bacteriology performs Aerobic culture of Stomach Content, Placenta and pooled fetal organ tissue. Molecular Diagnostics performs BVD and IBR PCR tests on fresh unfixed fetal/placental tissues. Histological evaluation of submitted or collected tissues using H&E sections and other histology staining as necessary.
