Hi there! My name is Jumanah Bilal (she/hers), you can also call me JJ, and I’m part of the class of 2025.I was born and raised in Saudi Arabia but moved to Oregon in 2015 and completed my undergraduate degree in Animal Science at Oregon State University. I have a wide range of animal experience that include working at a horseback riding facility for children with disabilities, assisting with TNR initiatives in shelter medicine, working at an ER clinic in Beaverton and being involved with stem cell research for osteosarcomas during undergrad. I am really interested in wildlife pathology and enjoy working at the necropsy lab here at the CCVM, but also see myself becoming involved in both small animal ER and public health research. I enjoy skateboarding, bike riding, hiking, dancing, being crafty/artsy, talking plants and just having a fun time trying to balance life and school. Feel free to message me if you like the zoo, pathology, plants and cats or anything else related to vet med and Oregon!
