Dr. Lauren Newsom is originally from Michigan and graduated from Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. After practicing small animal emergency medicine for several years, Dr. Newsom completed residency training in Diagnostic Imaging at Oregon State, and started her career as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at OSU in 2019. Lauren has a special interest in teaching and clinical training of students and veterinarians in diagnostic imaging. Her professional interests include computed tomography and ultrasound of small animal oncologic and emergent disease processes. When not teaching and supervising the clinic, Lauren enjoys gardening, exploring Oregon, and being active outside with her husband, young daughter, and her perfect pooch, Sophie.
